COVID-19 Awareness and Relief Work
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Buddha PG College mobilized its students and faculty to conduct awareness campaigns and relief work in the surrounding community. The college played a pivotal role in disseminating accurate information and providing support to vulnerable populations.
The NSS and NCC units distributed masks, sanitizers, and ration kits to daily-wage workers and economically weaker sections in the district. Online awareness sessions on COVID-appropriate behaviour were conducted through social media platforms reaching thousands of residents.
Relief Activities Undertaken
- Distribution of 5,000+ masks and sanitizer packets in the district.
- Ration kits provided to over 300 underprivileged families.
- Tele-counselling support for students and community members experiencing anxiety and mental stress.
- Online workshops on immunity boosting, yoga, and mental wellness.
- Assisted district administration in vaccination awareness drives.
The college received a commendation letter from the District Magistrate for its exemplary community service during the pandemic period.
