Gender Sensitisation and Women Empowerment

Buddha PG College is deeply committed to promoting gender equality and women empowerment through its Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), Women Cell, and regular awareness programmes. The college creates a safe, inclusive environment for all its stakeholders.

A series of workshops, seminars, and cultural programmes are organized throughout the year to sensitise students about gender issues, personal safety, legal rights, and career development for women. Eminent speakers from law, medicine, and social work are invited to interact with students.

Initiatives

  • Annual Women Empowerment Week celebrated with workshops and competitions.
  • Self-defence training sessions for girl students in collaboration with the police department.
  • Legal awareness sessions on POSH Act, domestic violence laws, and women rights.
  • Felicitation of women achievers from the local community as role models.
  • Counselling cell operational for gender-related grievances.

The college ensures zero tolerance for gender-based discrimination and harassment, and the Women Cell meets quarterly to review the campus environment and address concerns proactively.
